Gene Muto began exploring her interest in the healing arts thirty years ago with training in the Silva Method and Therapeutic Touch. At that time Gene was not yet ready for professional practice, and she pursued extensive academic training including a BA in Religion and Philosophy, an MA in Business Administration and Human Resource Management and a 28 year career in the corporate world. In 2007, Gene returned to the healing arts and embarked on her comprehensive training in massage and bodywork, which would eventually include advanced training in CranioSacral Therapy from the Milne Institute, Acupressure, and certifications for working with special populations in addition to traditional Massage Therapy training from McKinnon/Body Therapy Center. She has an inquiring and quick mind, the inspiration to keep her fresh and constantly seeking improvement , as well as, meticulous study habits which enabled her to expand her career into Doula Services.
Gene lives in the East Bay with her family and practices in both Redwood City and Fremont.
